The Sorocaba’s Brazilian Instrumental Music Season was created with the purpose of covering the Brazilianness of our music, the variety, richness and depth of our culture, with a cultural action of high educational and training value. It aims to strengthen the public’s knowledge and relationship with quality Brazilian musical art, showing a panel of current Brazilian music and the great Brazilian musicians in full professional activity, expanding and improving the training potential of each listener, giving democratically access to all social strata in this approach to the great music made in Brazil. The artists and music groups suggested to participate in the project are always on a consolidated career in the national and international scene, in addition to giving space to young prominent musicians of the current Brazilian music scene.

Sorocaba’s Brazilian Instrumental Music Season revolutionized the culture of the city of Sorocaba (SP) and region. Since 2005, there have been more than 150 musical performances, in addition to teaching activities, consolidating the project in the city and becoming a reference between the public and the great Brazilian musicians when it comes to quality musical programming.

The Season has the artistic direction of Marco de Almeida and general production of MdA International.
