Beginning in 2007, the Sorocaba’s Classical Music Season , is in its 12th edition. It is one of the most important cultural activities in the region of this city in the State of São Paulo. It has always offered concerts with some of the most renowned and active Brazilian musicians in the classical scene, with varied backgrounds from recitals to quintets and chamber orchestra. In addition to the concerts, the project also has its pedagogical part with free workshops and lectures – of varied themes, all linked to the classic universe from the Baroque to the contemporary period.
In the several years of carrying out activities, the Season has hosted many importante names, such as:pianists Arnaldo Cohen, Caio Pagano, German Andreas Frolich, Ricardo Castro, Italian Francesco Cipolletta, youngsters Cristian Budu and Ronaldo Rolim, among others. The chamber groups: Trio de Viena, Quintet of the Symphonic Orchestra of Vienna, Quarteto Camargo Guarnieri, Soloists of Osesp, Quaternaglia, several pockets-operas, concerts and recitals of lyrical singing with the best Brazilian voices, a multitude of great presentations that help in the development and maintenance of an important cultural action exclusively for Sorocaba.
